We're all still recovering from the brutality that was the U.S. Open, but a little Bubba goes a long way to bring us back. It was a fine set of tournaments this weekend between the PGA Tour, the Champions and the LPGA (which we don't have video rights for ... set us up, LPGA!) Anyway, let's take a look back at the finest shots of the weekend. Is yours among them? Probably not, but check anyway.
First off, on the 18th of the Travelers on Sunday, Bubba Watson unloads a monster 396-yard drive en route to birdieing the hole and forcing a playoff. (Spoiler: he wins.)
Over at the Champions Tour, Loren Roberts made a late push and — look at that! — ended up winning the Dick's Sporting Goods Open:
Scott Verplank had two eagles on the back nine at the Travelers, but that still wasn't good enough to get him a win. A playoff, yes, but not a win. Ah, well:
