Below you'll find a simple, straightforward list of the most heavily targeted players from Week 1. Easy to create, elegant (and minty!) in its design. Please use this list as a companion to Hansen's Inside the Box Score, which drills down to the last look. Before we dazzle you with borrowed data, a few quick observations:

Bears receiver Earl Bennett(notes) received more targets against the Packers (13) than Devin Hester(notes), Greg Olsen(notes) and Matt Forte(notes) combined (11). That probably wasn't in the script.

Of the 15 players who received double-digit looks in Week 1, only Laurent Robinson(notes) is available in a majority of Yahoo! PLUS leagues. He followed a promising preseason with five catches for 87 yards in the opener. Someday the Rams will score points.

Randy Moss(notes) totaled just five receptions for 48 yards in two games against the Jets last year. He had a rather dramatic TD catch, though. And of course past returns are no guarantee of future results.

Over the next three weeks, Reggie Wayne(notes) will face Miami, Arizona and Seattle. Each of those teams were among the five most generous in terms of fantasy points allowed to wide receivers last year.

Steve Smith had 13 targets and 21 receiving yards on Sunday, which is not the ratio you're looking for. Fine work, Delhomme.

If you can guess the two most frequently targeted Cleveland Browns without glancing at the spreadsheet, you win the Quincy Morgan(notes) rookie card. Or the William Green(notes).

These are the new leads. And to you, they're gold...

Funston tried to let us all in on the ground floor with Nate Burleson(notes), but most of us shot him down. Shame.

Davone Bess(notes) picked up exactly where he left off in '08, catching everything that was thrown his way (7-for-7). Bess caught 72 percent of the passes intended for him last season.

Louis Murphy's(notes) excellent debut (87 yards, TD) is going to complicate the Chaz Schilens(notes) story, according to Jerry McDonald.

Fun fact that probably means nothing: In '05, '07 and '08, Antwaan Randle El(notes) delivered his biggest games in opening week. Check the game logs for details. That doesn't make the Week 2 matchup with St. Louis any less appealing; it just provides cover for those of us who've chosen to ignore his 98 yards.

Kevin Faulk(notes) continues to serve PPR owners well. In '08, he finished third among all running backs in receptions (58) and he's chasing only Tim Hightower(notes) and Kevin Smith(notes) after opening week this season.

More list...
