Shuffle Up: How I learned to stop worrying and love Peyton Hillis

You should know the rules and lifelines by now. If we had a fresh Fantasy Football draft going off tonight, what would our cheatsheet look like? These are not weekly ranks, they are seasonal ranks, with the condition that the season begins in Week 10.

Bring your respectful disagreement to the comments, but please back up your stances with a strong line of reasoning. Further the conversation, gamer.

Comments: What is left to add on Rivers at this point? He was throwing to lawn chairs last week at Houston and it didn't really matter. He's the true league MVP at this point, I don't care what San Diego's record is. … I'm tempted to put Vick in the first tier, but his playing style leads to a ton of hits and you wonder if he can last for the remainder of the regular season. I'm not questioning how he'll produce when he's actually on the field. … Chicago stemmed its pass-blocking problems for one week, but I still don't trust Cutler, or anyone on this offense. … Hill was surprisingly productive when he played earlier this season, and throwing to Calvin and Friends is a pretty good gig.

Comments: At this point Hillis belongs in the inner circle of trust. He gets heavy work every week, he's scored in seven of eight starts, he catches the ball, and he keeps the pile moving. Two months of production buys a lot of cred. … I have no concrete answers on Wells, or Ken Whisenhunt for that matter. I'm just glad I'm not invested there. … How can the Chargers trust Mathews down the stretch? He's proven to be an injury risk and a ball-security risk, and he still has problems reading blocks. … Green Bay's Jackson doesn't have any real special talents, but there's a lot to be said for being guaranteed 15 or more touches and being tied to an elite offense (and so long as Aaron Rodgers is healthy, the Packers are an elite offense ). … What happened to Felix Jones in Dallas? Was it the weight gain, the spotty play of the line, the inconsistent usage? Something's up with this guy; he doesn't look anything like the electric playmakers we saw when he first entered the league.

Comments: I wanted to go several spots higher on Harvin, but those migraines won't leave him alone. … Fitzgerald will forever pine for the days of Kurt Warner(notes), but at least Derek Anderson has been able to get him the ball the last two weeks. … Wallace hadn't gone past three catches in any game until Monday's five-grab showing at Cincinnati, but when he does make a play, it's generally for big yardage. … I didn't want to go this high on Randy Moss but geesh, look at that flimsy schedule waiting for him. … Roy Williams and Jon Kitna ran hundreds of reps back in the Detroit days, but you'd never know it over the last few weeks. At least Bryant and Kitna have shown chemistry.

28. Randy McMichael(notes)
Comments: There's no reason to be restrained on Tamme; he's got the size of a tight end, the lateral movement of a receiver, and Peyton Manning throwing him the ball. … Lewis still doesn't get enough targets week-to-week but at least he's getting extra attention in the red zone. On a different team, he could be an 800-900 yard man. … Shiancoe's value got a boost when Moss left town, obviously. And Brett Favre has always liked throwing to big targets between the numbers. … I wasted a good month on John Carlson but he's dead to me now, I don't care who the Seattle quarterback is.
