Monday Night Fliers: Thomas Rawls, Zach Zenner low-dollar dice rolls

Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls, joins Will Palaszczuk to discuss his big game after relieving Marshawn Lynch. Lynch left with a hamstring injury as Rawls was able to surpass 100 yards in his place. The Seahawks went on to win 26-0 over the Bears for their first victory of the year.

Fantasy owners looking to cash big in Yahoo DFS are always in the market for connector players, low-dollar options that provide roster flexibility and fatten wallets. Every Monday we'll bargain hunt in an attempt to unearth buried treasure. Today's featured buys come from DET/SEA a matchup with various fantasy interests.

Thomas Rawls, Sea, RB ($15 in Yahoo DFS) – Thank you Pete Carroll and the Seahawks front office, for making a fairly rapid decision on Marshawn Lynch's availability. With Beast Mode snacking on Skittles on the sideline, the unheralded rookie from Central Michigan will again step into a lead role. Off a 104 rushing yard performance against the Berenstain Bears, Rawls is a low-dollar rusher worth rolling with. Detroit is considerably stiffer compared to their NFC North counterpart. The Lions, despite the loss of Ndamukong Suh, have played admirably against the run. Against the San Diego, Minnesota and Denver backfields, they allowed a mere 3.56 yards per carry to RBs. Still, with Fred Jackson functioning only as a change-of-pace option, the kid's volume should be attractive, possibly exceeding 15-17 touches. Bank on roughly 70-80 yards with a possible TD.

Zach Zenner, Det, RB ($10) – Opportunity knocks for the preseason darling. Joique Bell, who's resembled a road-flattened armadillo thus far, is out with an ankle setback, paving the way for Zenner to operate as Detroit's power back. Ameer Abdullah should tote the heavy side of the timeshare – we hope – but if the rookie exhibits the versatile, steamrolling back from August, he could be a surprise sensation, possibly dooming Bell permanently to the bench, which needs to happen. Seattle has yet to surrender a TD to a RB and has given up a lowly 3.64 yards per carry to the position, but if the Lions get into a goal-to-go situation, Zenner could punch one in. For the contrarian audience, he's a reasonable gamble, a player capable of 40-50 yards with a score.
