Hang in there, twenty-seven (USAT)

It's not the messiest injury report we've seen all season, that's for sure. Amen to that. Good luck to everyone in their critical Week 13 matchups. We'll start with the running backs, as usual.

Knowshon Moreno (ankle) had a full practice Friday and is listed as probable, so it looks like he'll go Sunday at Kansas City. Montee Ball also figures to see a fair amount of work in this game. I'm starting Moreno where I have him.

Zac Stacy (post concussion) has been cleared for Week 13. He's officially listed as probable. The Niners are a tricky matchup, but it's hard to sit Stacy after what he's done to this point.

Andre Ellington (knee) missed all of Friday's work and is iffy for Week 13. The Cardinals list him as questionable. Given that Ellington is judiciously used by the Cardinals to begin with, I'd suggest finding a safer play.

• Adrian Peterson (groin) missed two days of practice, then had a limited session Friday. The Vikings nonetheless list him as probable, and it's a delicious matchup against Chicago's struggling rushing defense.

• DeAngelo Williams (quad) sat out the entire week and probably won't play against Tampa. Jonathan Stewart (ankle) and Mike Tolbert (knee) have dings of their own but they're expected to go. I added Stewart for depth in a few leagues, but it's hard to push the start button on him.

• Matt Forte (knee) is listed as probable, so plug and play against Minnesota.

• Brandon Jacobs (knee) has been ruled out - more work for Andre Brown against Washington.

• Daniel Thomas (ankle) is probably done for the year, not that we expect Lamar Miller to do much against the outstanding Jets rushing defense.

• Chris Ivory (ankle) is listed as probable, messing up the sneaky sleeper value of Bilal Powell.

You always worry about every Ryan Mathews ache and pain, but despite his hamstring injury, he's listed as probable.

Wide Receiver/Tight End

Percy Harvin (hip) met a setback and has been downgraded to doubtful. So much for that pipe dream. Find different Week 13 options.

• Aaron Dobson (foot) won't play at Houston, which pushes Kenbrell Thompkins back onto the sleeper page. Rob Gronkowski (various) is listed as questionable, so give him a second look before you commit to Sunday's lineup.

• Antonio Gates (hamstring) practiced Friday and is listed as probable, though he calls the injury "tricky." I need Gates in a key league, and I'm nervous.

• Julius Thomas (knee) had a limited week of practice and remains questionable on the injury report, making him a risky start for Sunday's game at Kansas City. Keep in mind it's a later start, 4:25 pm ET.

Although Jordan Reed (post concussion) had a limited week of practice, context clues point to him playing Sunday. Unfortunately, it's the night game, so there's some risk here. The Giants do present an appealing matchup.

• Hakeem Nicks (groin) is listed as probable, if you feel like playing the lotto. His last touchdown came on Dec. 9, 2012.

• Santonio Holmes (foot/hamstring) missed time this week and is questionable on the injury report. Surely you have better options. Jeremy Kerley (elbow) is also questionable.

• Michael Crabtree (Achilles) is expected to make his debut Sunday, though his snaps figure to be limited.

The Bills are getting healthier, with Stevie Johnson (groin) and Robert Woods (ankle) expected to go against the Falcons.

• Tony Gonzalez (toe) did some work this week and remains questionable on the injury report. His production has fallen through the floor in recent weeks.

Other Positions

We might see Jay Cutler (ankle) a week from Monday against the Cowboys. He won't dress versus Minnesota.

• Jason Campbell (post concussion) remains out, so Brandon Weeden starts against Jacksonville.

• Justin Houston (elbow) won't play for the Chiefs, but Tamba Hali (ankle) has a chance to go.
