Even with six teams already out of the way in Week 12, we have much to discuss on the injury report. Let's get to it, leading off with the running back and then following up in this order: QB, WR, TE, and the rest.

• Adrian Peterson (ankle) missed the full week of team practice, though he did some individual work Friday. Nonetheless the Vikings have listed Peterson as doubtful, so it looks like Toby Gerhart will get the call at Atlanta. The underrated Falcons front seven is allowing just 3.8 yards a carry and 85.4 rushing yards per game. Saturday Update: Peterson has officially been downgraded to out, so that's that.

• Darren McFadden (foot) will not dress against the Bears, and Hue Jackson is hinting that McFadden might be eased back to work when the tailback is ready. Taiwan Jones (hamstring) didn't take any reps this week, either, so Michael Bush figures to lug the mail on Sunday.

• Ryan Mathews (knee) had a full practice Friday, and according to our friend Michael Gehlken, Mathews wasn't wearing his knee brace. Looks like Mathews will be in uniform against the Broncos, though he's never a sure thing to get through a full game healthy and productive.

• Shonn Greene (rib) didn't miss any work this week and is listed as probable. Look for him to get a full day against Buffalo. LaDainian Tomlinson (knee) was held out for the full week, however, and even as he's listed as questionable, I can't see him playing this weekend. Joe McKnight looms as an interesting backup.{ysp:more}

• Fred Jackson (leg) is out for the year, and Chan Gailey says the club will use C.J. Spiller as the new starter. Johnny White and Tashard Choice are the fallbacks.

• Peyton Hillis (hamstring) took some team reps Friday and thinks he can play against the Bengals. Pat Shurmur says Hillis is a game-time decision. Montario Hardesty (calf) is also listed as questionable, on the heels of three partial practices. If you're stuck on this backfield for a desperation play, take heart - it's an early game at Cincinnati.

• Beanie Wells (knee) had a full session Friday and should go at St. Louis. He's listed as probable.

• Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) had already been ruled out for the Monday nighter in New Orleans.

• Jahvid Best (post concussion) was finally placed on injured reserve, so he's done for the year.

• Joseph Addai (hamstring) had a full practice week, though the tricky Colts are still terming him as questionable. Donald Brown is still my first preference in this backfield.

• Michael Vick (ribs) didn't take a snap all week, which means we'll probably see Vince Young start against the Patriots. Vick is officially listed as questionable.

• Matt Hasselbeck (elbow) took all the Thursday and Friday reps and is in line to start against the Bucs. Hasselbeck needs to be on-point, as Jake Locker moved the Titans well in relief last week.

• Kyle Orton has reported to the Chiefs and might have a shot at starting Week 13 agains the Bears. The Jets, Packers and Raiders wait after that, and the Chiefs play at Denver in Week 17.

• Kevin Kolb (toe) had three partial days of practice and is listed as questionable for the game at St. Louis. Nothing is solidified yet, but it looks like John Skelton gets another week.

• Ben Roethlisberger (thumb) took all the Thursday and Friday reps and is listed as probable. He'll be fine at Kansas City.

• Andy Dalton (shoulder), Mark Sanchez (neck) Tarvaris Jackson (pectoral), Christian Ponder (knee) and Colt McCoy (shoulder) are all probable and expected to start for their respective clubs.

• Andre Johnson (hamstring had a full week and is set to start at Jacksonville. I'm considering him a WR2 until I see something on the field (and something from Matt Leinart).

• Julio Jones (hamstring) had a partial practice Thursday and a full workout Friday and should play against Minnesota. The Falcons are listing him as probable.

• Although Wes Welker (knee) took limited reps in practice, the Patriots are listing him as probable. Go ahead and use him at Philadelphia. Things are more dicey with Deion Branch (hip, questionable) and Chad Ochocinco (hamstring, questionable, no practice Friday).

• A.J. Green (knee) took all the Thursday and Friday reps and is listed as probable. Go ahead and use him against Cleveland.

• Santana Moss (hand) had a full practice week and is listed as probable for the match at Seattle. I'd like to see a good-faith week before I dial him up.

• Although DeSean Jackson (foot) had limited reps Thursday and Friday, the Eagles are calling him probable against New England. Sounds like he'll be a go. Jeremy Maclin (hamstring/shoulder) was held out the last two days and he's considered doubtful. Consider Riley Cooper if you're in a receiver pinch.

• Sidney Rice (knee) had a full day Friday and should start against Washington. He's listed as probable.

• Percy Harvin (ribs) missed some Friday reps and is listed as questionable. Context clues point to him playing, but we'll see what we learn on game day.

• Jacoby Ford (foot) won't dress for the Raiders and Darrius Heyward-Bey (neck) and Denarius Moore (foot) are also dinged up. Moore didn't take a rep all week, so it looks like he'll sit. DHB was able to work on a limited basis Thursday and Friday.

• Legedu Naanee (ankle) didn't practice Thursday or Friday and is questionable for the game at Indianapolis. If Naanee is a game-day scratch, Brandon LaFell picks up the start.

• Although Devin Hester (shin) didn't practice the last two days, he's listed as probable. Hester is also listed as ridiculous.

• Mario Manningham (knee) hasn't been practicing, though he says he'll be on the field Monday at New Orleans. We'll see what we learn from Saturday's practice.

• Stevie Johnson (shoulder) and David Nelson (illness) are both listed as probable. Good luck against the Jets secondary, men. Naaman Roosevelt (shoulder) has already been ruled out, however, and Donald Jones (ankle) is done for the season.

• Malcom Floyd (hip) has already been ruled out for Week 12. Vincent Brown will start against Denver.

• Danario Alexander (hamstring) did some work Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 12. Hopefully you don't need to look this deep. Teammate Austin Pettis (knee) is probable, but Mark Clayton (knees) is done for the year.

• Jeremy Kerley (knee) hasn't been practicing and looks like a long shot this week.

• Emmanuel Sanders (knee) was at Friday's practice and should play at Kansas City.

• Antonio Gates (foot) worked Friday after sitting the previous day and should play against Denver.

• Dallas Clark (leg) is out again, which makes Jacob Tamme worth considering in deeper pools.

• Lance Kendricks (post concussion) should be able to play against Arizona. He's probable.

• Todd Heap (hamstring) looks like a game-time decision at St. Louis. Hope you can sleep Saturday night, despite the uncertainty.

shiancoe

• Visanthe Shiancoe (hamstring) returned to practice Friday after sitting the earlier sessions. He has a chance to play at Atlanta, which is key given that Kyle Rudolph (quad) didn't practice all week.

• Rob Bironas (back) missed some Friday work but is listed as probable.

• Rian Lindell (shoulder) is out indefinitely, with Dave Rayner subbing for him.

• Just about every Jets offensive lineman of note is dinged up (notably D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Nick Mangold), but they're all listed as probable and should go against Buffalo.

• Matt Light (ankle) took some Friday reps and should play at Philly.

• Giants defensive linemen Justin Tuck (ankle/shoulder) and Osi Umenyiora (knee) have been limited in practice, but should play at New Orleans.

• Steelers LB LaMarr Woodley (hamstring) probably won't play at Kansas City, though he did a little work Friday.

• Bills corner Terrence McGee (knee) is out for the year.

• Philadelphia corners Nnamdi Asomugha (knee) and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle) are both listed as questionable. Asomugha didn't take any Friday reps; Rodgers-Cromartie had a partial session after sitting out the two prior days.

• Vikings safety Husain Abdullah (post concussion) won't go in Week 12, another hit to a horrendous secondary.
