Daily Dime: Going with Colon, Wood, Sano and Cespedes

Here are 10 DFS recommendations for Wednesday’s slate on Yahoo but be sure to double-check the weather and lineups before first pitch approaches.

Bartolo Colon, SP, vs. Mia (Conley), $42: He’s allowed just two runs over his past four starts, a span of 30.2 innings (0.59 ERA). Colon will be facing a Miami offense that’s scored the second-fewest runs in MLB this season still missing Giancarlo Stanton. The Mets are also the second-highest favorites on the board Wednesday (-220).

Alex Wood, SP, vs. Col (De La Rosa), $43: He’s been a huge disappointment this season, including coming off a game in which he didn’t make it out of the second inning. But Wood is facing a Rockies offense that’s scored the second-fewest runs on the road this season, and the Dodgers are big favorites (-180).

John Jaso, C, vs. NYY (Severino), $10: He has a .379 OBP this year, yet there are 14 more expensive catchers.

Adam LaRoche, 1B, vs. Oak (Martin), $10: Check on his health, but this is a cheap price for someone with his track record in such a great hitter’s park facing a pitcher making just the second start of his career.

Jedd Gyorko, 2B, at Ari (Ray), $14: He has a .796 OPS against LHP this season and will be hitting in one of the best hitter’s parks in all of baseball.

Miguel Sano, 3B, vs. Det (Norris), $16: The rookie has been lighting the league on fire, and he’s very reasonably priced here at third base.

Carlos Correa, SS, at Tex (Perez), $15: He has a .296/.360/.582 line against southpaws this season.

Torii Hunter, OF, vs. Det (Norris), $15: Anibal Sanchez has been scratched, so Hunter now has the platoon advantage.

Yoenis Cespedes, OF, vs. Mia (Conley), $25: He’s facing a lefty and has a .309/.356/.691 line since joining the Mets this season, including hitting 17 homers over just 175 at bats.

Ryan Raburn, vs. KC (Duffy), $10: He’s dirt cheap and owns a .979 when facing southpaws this season.
