Court Report Live Blog: Good news and bad news

It was a scary scene on Sunday. Chris Paul(notes) Paul was immobilized and removed from the court on a stretcher after he ran head first into Ramon Sessions(notes) during the third quarter of the Hornets/Cavs matchup. He was taken to the Cleveland Clinic where a Cat-scan revealed a concussion, but thankfully no more-serious injuries. He traveled with the team to Chicago but is out Monday and certainly has to be considered out indefinitely, although the Hornets only play one more game through this Saturday [Hornets schedule]. Feel free to add Jarrett Jack(notes) for some short-term help in the interim, and we should have a better idea as to how long Paul will be sidelined in the coming days. Jack has averaged 12.9 points, 0.9 threes, 5 assists, 2.3 turnovers, and 1.1 steals in his 208 career starts.

Channing Frye(notes) is expected to miss the next two to three weeks after suffering a separated left shoulder on Sunday. Frye was averaging 34 minutes per game as a starter, and that playing time will be absorbed by Hakim Warrick(notes), Jared Dudley(notes), and Mickael Pietrus(notes). There's no real definitive winner here for fantasy purposes - matchups and hot hands will likely determine who gets the most minutes on a given night. [Suns schedule] Warrick can get a deep-league look for some scoring and field goal percentage help, while Dudley and Pietrus are a bit more interesting because of their abilities to post multi-dimensional lines. Per-25 minute averages for the three players this season:

Warrick: 12 pts, 0 3pm, 5.2 reb, 1 ast, 1.4 to, 0.5 stl, 0.2 blk
Dudley: 9.8 pts, 1.3 3pm, 3.5 reb, 1.2 ast, 1 to, 0.9 stl, 0.2 blk
Pietrus: 9.2 pts, 1.9 3pm, 2.9 reb, 0.8 ast, 1.4 to, 0.6 stl, 0.5 blk

As for Frye himself, he can be dropped if you are currently in a precarious playoff position. Otherwise, you may want to sit tight and see how the initial reports for his rehab look - you can drop him down the line if it comes to it.

The timeframe for Eric Gordon's(notes) most recent wrist injury is at least seven to 10 days. Obviously things could have been much worse here, but we'll include the obvious qualifier that this comes at a bad time for fantasy owners. Randy Foye(notes) and Eric Bledsoe(notes) will get extra run for as long as Gordon is sidelined. [Clippers schedule]

Other status updates: Dwight Howard(notes) is out Monday as he serves a one-game suspension for his 16th technical foul of the season. Ryan Anderson(notes) will start at center for the Magic ... Chauncey Billups(notes) is out on Monday ... Tyson Chandler(notes) will be a game-time decision ... Paul Millsap(notes) and Andrei will both play on Monday.

Monday's most added players (as of 4pm PT): Jarrett Jack, Randy Foye, Francisco Garcia(notes), Tayshaun Prince(notes), and James Harden(notes)

Monday's most dropped players (as of 4pm PT): Eric Gordon, Channing Frye, Tracy McGrady(notes), George Hill(notes), and Anthony Morrow(notes)

These and many more topics will be discussed in the Wednesday live blog, so stop by and participate in the discussion or just lurk and take it all in. We'll get started at 7pm PT/10pm ET.
