Ryan Schimpf: He’s hitting .350/.480/.950 (that’s good for a 1.430 OPS) over the past week, including three homers and a steal. He’s hurt by calling Petco Park home, but Schimpf is hitting toward the top of the Padres’ lineup and currently owns a 150 wRC+ (despite a .225 batting average). He’s middle infield eligible and currently owned in just two percent of Yahoo leagues.
Brad Ziegler: With Koji Uehara joining Craig Kimbrel on the disabled list, Ziegler appears to be the new Red Sox closer. His peripherals may be ugly at times, but he’s not new to pitching in tough hitter’s parks and has prevented run scoring while doing so. Boston has scored 34 runs more than any other team in baseball so far in 2016, so save opportunities should be plentiful. Ziegler is still available in more than 20 percent of Yahoo leagues.

My full lineup:
SP: Gerrit Cole $42
SP: Yu Darvish $45
C: Willson Contreras $12
1B: David Ortiz $21
2B: Gordon Beckham $13
3B: Travis Shaw $12
SS: Xander Bogaerts $16
OF: Jackie Bradley Jr. $14
OF: Jay Bruce $14
OF: Jeff Francoeur $11
It’s not clear how close to 100 percent Cole is right now making just his second start after a lengthy stay on the DL with an arm injury (and his velocity was down during his return last week), but he’s at home and facing a Phillies offense that’s scored the second-fewest runs in MLB this season…Darvish is another pitcher starting for just the second time after a recent DL stint, but he fanned nine batters over 4.1 innings during his return to action last week, faces a struggling Kansas City offense and owns a 12.5 SwStr% this season.

News broke Friday morning that Steelers star running back Le’Veon Bell is reportedly facing a four-game suspension due to a missed drug test. Assuming the suspension stands, Bell would be absent for a quarter of the season. As a result, he’s dropped outside of the top-five players at the position in our consensus rankings. Going first overall in many fantasy drafts, Bell is now likely to fall to the second round.

The Big Board takes into consideration past returns, current performance and expected future gains in determining who should be included among the top 50 fantasy football players. Essentially, the Big Board is a cheat sheet designed for a fantasy owner who is planning to participate in a draft today. Yahoo! Can Jose De Leon make the rookie pitcher pain go away? (Getty) Pitching prospects have been a mess in roto 2016, a horrible investment. Anyone who’s played the wait-and-pounce game is buried in the red.
I’ve generally been sitting these out, but Friday morning I added a few shares of Jose De Leon. I’ve talked myself into this case.
De Leon is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound righty who’s been toying with the PCL during his age-23 season. Check what he’s done over nine starts: 43.1 IP, 14 BB, 64 K, a 2.49 ERA, 1.02 WHIP. He’s striking out 13.3 batters per nine innings, a silly ratio. The three main scouting clipboards all rated him a Top 30 prospect before the season.
The Dodgers rotation is full of question marks, as you know. We have no idea if Clayton Kershaw will pitch again this year. Hyun-Jin Ryu and Alex Wood are on the disabled list. Julio Urias won’t be allowed to pitch extensively during his age-19 season; he went four innings Thursday.

Last season, the Packers were the meat in the grinder. Staring with Jordy Nelson’s season-ending injury in the Preseason and punctuated with wretched efforts from Aaron Rodgers, Eddie Lacy, Davante Adams and Randall Cobb, once fantasy fruitful Green Bay spoiled. In this edition of ‘The Stance,’ Brad Evans and Liz Loza detail just how big the bounce backs will be by the Bay.
Thanks to Jordy’s absence, Lacy’s drop off and the embarrassment that was Adams, Aaron Rodgers suffered his worst fantasy season as a starter finishing QB14 in points per game. Is the following statement BELIEVE or MAKE BELIEVE: Mr. Munn immediately regains his 2014 mojo, totals at least 40 combined scores and finishes atop the QB ranks.

My full lineup (for all games starting after 4 pm PT):
SP: Steven Wright ($45) – He’s earned a victory in eight of his past 10 outings, has an ERA under 3 and he’s facing a non-threatening Minnesota offense that he shut the door on in a June 10 meeting (7.1 IP, 0 ER)
SP: Adam Wainwright ($43) – After a horrible start to the season, he’s looking more like the pitcher we know and love (0.39 ERA in three July starts)
C: Yadier Molina ($7) – Has a hit in six straight games (including two home runs) and owns a solid 4-for-12 (.333) lifetime mark against San Diego RHP Andrew Cashner

Center field is now Tyler’s Turf (AP) Tyler Naquin is five years into his professional baseball career, and it’s hard to say just who he is — and who he isn’t. But we can declare he’s one of the biggest surprises of the season, a shocker special. And the unexpected breakouts are the most fun of all.
The Indians had high hopes when they snagged Naquin with the 15th overall pick in the 2012 Draft. Naquin was a superstar at Texas A&M, the Big 12 Player of the Year. But Naquin’s minor-league seasoning progressed at a deliberate pace, and he never made it on any buzzy clipboard lists. Entering 2016, he had a career MiLB slash of .287/.359/.417 — perhaps an adequate table setter someday, but nothing special in the power department.
Post-hype sleeper? Nah, this is more like a no-hype sleeper. I didn’t see Naquin get drafted in any of my pools this March, even after a snappy spring training.
