Vanessa Hudgens finally got to attend a real prom for the first time — and it was for a good cause.
The High School Musical actress, 25, surprised Cesar Guerrero, a 17-year-old fan who has been battling cancer, at a prom that was thrown especially for him at Sylmar High School in Los Angeles this week.
The Art of Elysium charity helped set up the entire thing as part of their #ARTHeals campaign, which s preads awareness to help raise funding for their hospital programs. The Art of Elysium explained to The Insider With Yahoo that they joined forces with Kaiser Permanente to throw a prom for Cesar. "We have been working with Cesar throughout his treatments at Kaiser over the past year," said the organization. "Cesar has been a huge fan of Vanessa for years and she volunteered to surprise him and his guests at prom. She was absolutely wonderful — dancing with the guests, taking pictures with fans, and enjoying the Photo Booth."

Sorry, Ryan Gosling, but you've been replaced.
Chris Pratt, 35, is now the guy of our dreams, whether he's posting a funny photo or video or reminding us of the fact that he's remained down to earth, despite the phenomenal success he's experienced this year. In August, Pratt's transition from that guy in Parks and Recreation to full-fledged movie star was complete as he starred in the well-reviewed, box office-behemoth Guardians of the Galaxy . He used his time in the spotlight well, to say the least.
Let us count the ways he ran away with the title of (drumroll, please)... Yahoo Celebrity's Best Person on the Internet This Month.

With all the plunging necklines and slits up to there, it's been a super-hot summer of celebrity fashion. But we can't say we loved every trend.
With that in mind, we figured we'd check in with some of our favorite experts — namely, stylist Brad Goreski, 18-year-old YouTube sensation Bethany Mota, and designer Christian Siriano — to find out which of these looks are here to stay, and which ones will be drifting away along with the summery temps.
Those Super-High Slits: Remember Kendall Jenner's jaw-dropping red carpet moment at the 2014 MuchMusic Video Awards? Yeah, we couldn't forget it either.
"For me, it's like, is that really? When you put a slit in something, it's like you're highlighting a certain part of the body, so it makes sense for a leg like an open back makes sense for the back, but I don't know if that part of the body is something we really need to see on the red carpet," Goreski told Yahoo at a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Fashion Party he hosted.

It's a working honeymoon for Angelina Jolie, who has surfaced for the first time since her hush-hush weekend wedding to Brad Pitt. The bride was snapped Friday in Malta, where she's filming her latest movie, By the Sea , which coincidentally co-stars her new husband.

The 39-year-old, who married Pitt at their French chateau on Saturday, was outfitted in all black — including chic floppy hat — as she boarded a boat for tour of the islands. Much to do has been made over the fact that she's wearing a ring in the photo, but it's impossible to decipher if it's her new wedding ring, her stunning yellow gold engagement ring, another gem from her jewelry collection, or even… a giant fuzz on her finger. We just can't tell for sure.

Here we go again. Believe it or not, it appears Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are back together for the gazillionth time (at last count, anyway).
On Wednesday, the on-again, off-again couple flew to Canada for a few days of rest and relaxation. In a very telling photo, Justin, 20, and Selena, 22, were snapped clearly holding hands as they exited their jet at the Ontario airport. They were both dressed casually and appeared to be totally at ease with one another as they made no attempts to hide their affection from the photographers.
The same day, Justin posted a candid black-and-white shot that showed the "Come and Get It" singer cozied up by his side. He didn't offer a caption to the pic, but this isn't our first rodeo. He's done similar things on social media for previous reunions.

An acquaintance of Philip Seymour Hoffman who was arrested for possessing heroin with the intent to sell after the Oscar winner's overdose death has made a plea deal that allows him to avoid jail time.
Jazz musician Robert Vineberg, who uses the stage name Robert Aaron, pleaded guilty to felony drug possession Thursday in Manhattan, avoiding the more serious intent-to-sell charge stemming from the 300 packets of heroin police seized at his home two days after Hoffman died. He will serve five years of probation, perform 25 days of community service, and continue court-supervised drug treatment. He will also forfeit the $1,284 that was found in his apartment.

The deal — which will make it less likely the Canada native, 58, will be deported for his conviction — was made after a hearing at which two detectives admitted that they did not read Vineberg his Miranda Rights before he made statements to police.

The countdown is on to Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade's Miami wedding on Saturday — they even have their official hashtag established: #TheWadeUnion. While it's happy days for the Being Mary Jane star and her Miami Heat honey, their road to the altar hasn't been without some, um, technical fouls.
In the five or so years they've been together, Union, 41, and Wade, 32, who are both marrying for the second time, weathered a nasty divorce, custody battle, brief breakup, and a love child. Whew! As the unsinkable pair prepares to say "I do," we look back at their bumpy road to happily ever after in a romance timeline...
February 2007: Wade and Union meet for the first time when they're hired by promoters to co-host a Super Bowl party. The basketball player is married to his high school sweetheart, Siohvaughn Funches, and the Bring It On actress, who was divorced from NFL player Chris Howard, is in a relationship, so they have little interaction. "I stayed on one side of the room with my people," Union later tells Essence . "We like to party and he doesn't drink at all. He was on the other side of the room holding bible study."

Britney Spears is ready to mingle.
The 32-year-old pop star revealed on Thursday that she and boyfriend David Lucado have broken up. "Ahhhh the single life!" she tweeted. Brit's rep also confirmed her relationship status.
TMZ reports that Spears immediately ended the relationship when she learned of a video taken earlier this month that was being "shopped around Hollywood" and shows Lucado making out with another woman. A source described as a Lucado rep told the website, "David is very, very in love with Britney. This is unfortunate and he hopes that it all works out."

Call her what you will on the catwalk, just don't call her by her last name.
Kendall Jenner, the eldest daughter of Kris and Bruce Jenner, is apparently a "Jenner" no more — at least not when she's on the runway.
Popular style site Racked first noticed Thursday that she's simply called "Kendall" on her modeling agency's website. And it's not just a typo on The Society Management's landing page — over on her personal page, it's even more clear that she's dropped her famous surname.
