Manny Pacquiao, Chris Algieri have the tour of a lifetime

Manny Pacquiao and Chris Algieri will arrive in New York on Thursday, the final leg in a 27,000-mile tour to promote their Nov. 22 WBO welterweight title fight in Macau, China. The tour included stops in Macau, Shanghai, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and, on Thursday, New York.

Whether it will help sell pay-per-views for the card is another matter entirely, but both men clearly had fun throughout the long trip.

When someone remarked to Pacquiao how hard he was working, he said, "This isn't work. It's fun."

On Wednesday at the Los Angeles tour stop, Pacquiao hopped up onto a chair to jokingly illustrate the difference in height between the men. For most stops, the 5-6 Pacquiao has had to look up at the 5-10 Algieri.

They've gotten along great, competed in some bar games along the way and made stops at a San Francisco Giants' game and a Los Angeles Dodgers game.

On Saturday at The Venetian in Las Vegas, a reporter told Pacquiao he seemed bored and not into the fight.

"This is the press tour and we're traveling around, having fun, and everybody is friends," Pacquiao said. "Once I get into training camp, everything will change."
