[VIDEO] Shannon Briggs storms gym, challenges Wladimir Klitschko

Heavyweight champ Wladimir Klitschko is currently in camp training for his Sep. 6 defense against Kubrat Pulev in Germany but appeared to nearly have an inpromtu fight against Shannon Briggs yesterday morning. The American appeared at Klitschko's workout Tuesday morning in South Florida, with a good sweat going, hands wrapped and plenty of insults for the Ukranian fighter.

Briggs has already hurled insults and threats at Klitschko at a press conference, asking for a title shot and now the 42 year-old has upped the promotional ante by storming in on Wladimir as he trained, still demanding a shot and calling the likes of Pulev, "bums."

Briggs has won four straight fights and last lost to Wladimir's brother, Vitali, via decision in 2010. In the video above you can see Briggs storm into the gym where Klitschko was training while the champ shadow-boxed. For a good while, Klitschko smiled and deflected Briggs' taunts.

Once the American stepped between the ropes and got within striking distance of Klitschko, however, Wladimir held up a hand and dared Briggs to hit it. At that point, Briggs slapped the hand away and got in the title-holder's face.

Assistant coach and former heavyweight champ Michael Moorer stepped into the ring at that point as well, and separated the two. Briggs continued his taunts as he left the gym.

Do you think Briggs would provide a better challenge to Klitschko than Kubrat? Let us know in the comments section.
