Sharks aiming to add Rick Nash

US PresswireThe Columbus Blue Jackets are one of the few teams in the NHL that are absolutely out of the playoff hunt. With the worst record in the league, the team sits nine points behind the next lowest team in the Eastern Conference, the Edmonton Oilers. So it seems clear that Columbus will make some deals before the trading deadline on Monday. And the continuing word is that one of those casualties is team captain Rick Nash.

According to TSN, the San Jose Sharks "are emerging as a strong contender" for Nash. The site's sources say that the team "initially targeted Logan Couture," but the Blue Jackets said they wouldn't trade him.

TSN notes that "Nash and Sharks veteran Joe Thornton are good friends and have shown an impressive chemistry when playing together internationally that isn't being overlooked."

Nash has scored 20 goals and notched 22 assists this season.

Yeah, "THEY" meaning the Sharks. It makes sense if you read it properly.

Right, how can "THEY" be targeting their own player.

The typos made me cry a river, so I got in a boat and sailed out east to Edmonton, to chill with the young Blue Jackets' star; Logan Couture.

NASH NEEDS TO BE TRADED TO LA... IT MAKES THE MOST SENSE FOR BOTH TEAMS... AND GOD KNOWS LA NEEDS SOME TYPE OF OFFENSIVE THREAT...

100% agree, Sharks are leading division and why mess up a good thing as they would have to give up a lot. Kings can use the help more and have way more to offer.

Last thing the sharks need is another winger that may or may not play both ways. The sharks need to spend their assets on a solid blue liner. Especially, with Murray and his throat issues.
