Donovan McNabb has three teams targeted for return

US PresswireIn the last three seasons, quarterback Donovan McNabb has been sent packing by three different organizations: First his longtime employer, the Philadelphia Eagles, sent him off to a division rival, the Washington Redskins. The Skins went with McNabb for 13 games and then let him go off to the Minnesota Vikings, who had him appear in six games before he was released partway through last season.

McNabb isn't ready to hang up his helmet, though. The 35-year-old six-time Pro Bowler has his eye on three different NFL teams that he thinks could use his services, according to NFL.com.

"I see three teams in the NFL, right now, that I feel like I can add a little bit of flavor to it from what they have," McNabb said, according to the site. "I won't mention those teams. But, if the phone rings, there will be a lot of decisions to make on that."

In his six games with the Vikes last year, the Chicago native threw 156 passes and connected on 94 of them for 1,025 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran the ball 14 times for 59 yards and another touchdown. However, he also threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball twice as well.

I don't understand the hate.. The guy has potentially a HOF career and he's rarely ever had an elite wideout to throw it to. The only good wideouts he's had in his career are T.O and Desean Jackson. He carried the Eagles on his back for so long before being dumped off to the Redskins, a garbage team that'll never be successful under Mike Shanahan. Then finally you got the Vikings who for some reason didn't keep Sydney Rice on their team. He CAN still play and the Eagles would be smart to make him back up Vick. He knows the offense, Vick will guarantee not play 16 games, and he couldn't do worse than Vince Young.

Romo hasn't even reached a Super Bowl and never will ,because Jerry Jones "thinks" he knows football when Most GM's in the NFL know more than he does. GM = Great Minds ;)

To much hate here for Donavan,he is a more than capable backup, accepting that role,he
could be a great pickup for several teams.

Just wanted to say that with or without McNabb on the field the results were the same in both Washington and Minnesota. I felt that it was more of a play calling-coaching issue that led each team to their own self destruction. McNabb can still throw and run for a older gentleman playing a young mans game. Best wish to McNabb and I hope he plays on any of the teams I root for!!!

he'd be the best backup qb...although he could start for a lot of teams in the nfl.

Want to know how to know that McNabb has been done? The Eagles traded him to Washington, a divisional rival.

Wow, from top 5 to top of the 3 string, and quick. Not sure what went off the rails for him, but clearly something did. Hang it up D, unless someone is dumb enough to pay you to stink...then F-it get what you can for holding a clip board.
