Washington Redskins trading for No. 2 pick?

US PresswireThe Washington Redskins are in need of a quarterback and their name has been rumored to be in the mix if the Indianapolis Colts decide to set quarterback Peyton Manning free. If he joined Washington, he'd get to face off against his brother twice a season.

However, it remains unclear what will happen with the Colts and Manning, so the 'Skins may move forward and try another avenue. ESPN reports that execs around the league "expect Washington to make a move" to try and trade for the No. 2 draft pick that the St. Louis Rams now own.

With that pick, the Redskins would select whatever quarterback is available, the site notes, between Stanford's Andrew Luck and BYU's Robert Griffin III, who won the Heisman Trophy this past season. (At this point, it looks like Griffin would be the one available with Luck going to the Colts, the site notes.)

The actual name of Baylor is Baylor Young University...(younger brother of Brigham Young I think).

I don't know if that will happen as Cleveland may be looking for a QB also and they have a #22 pick to give up and the #4 to trade up to #2 to take RGIII

I'd love to see Peyton in a 'Skin uniform but let's face reality folks, the guy will be 36 in March. I can see all the revenue that 2 games between the Manning brothers would produce, but we need to try and take care of a little more future in Washington.

I think with the Shanahan crew that RG3 is a much better fit unless we can get a little Luck but that isn't happening.

  Manning should not be an option. Your rebuilding so keep with the rebuild. Costs too much and to much to lose. After Haynesworth I cant see them going this route. It would defy everything they say has been changing.

Not only is this news SUPER OLD, it is inaccurate. Any person that didnt know where RG3 came from is not a fan of football and should not right about sports.

If Miller thinks RGIII went to BYU as he states here, I would suggest Miller go on a Mission, and find out what school each prospect actually attended by watching some game videos.

Manning will not be the same, first it's not certain the condition of his neck injury,,,Mentally he won't be the same...like Marino said...When you have that type of injury it will always be in your head...what would happen if he takes a heavy hit....espcially if it's a rebuilding team and the protection is not there.

Manning will sign with an afc team so he can stick it to the colts.Yeai would not mortage the future for an aging qb that has health issues now.If you have a love jones for Luck or RG3,then go get em.I would look at blackmon if those 2 qbs r gone.You can get an Andy Dalton Type in second rd

We need a QB super bad but i dont want to give up the farm for one who can just as well be a bust. RG3 looks awesome, maybe another Newton and that is worth the farm.
