US PresswireThe Toronto Raptors took down the Utah Jazz 111-106 in double overtime Wednesday night, but have lost Andrea Bargnani again to injury.
Bargnani missed six games earlier this season due a leg injury and returned to action Tuesday only to re-injure the leg in the first overtime Wednesday after scoring 25 points.
Bargnani called the injury "much worse" than his previous one, the Toronto Star reports, which is a bit nervous-making for Raptors fans. But coach Dwane Casey held out hope that it wasn't too bad, saying, "We'll see what the severity of it is — or if it's severe — evaluate it and go from there."
In the 13 games the 7-0 Bargnani has played this season, he's averaging 23.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 0.7 blocked shots per game.
