WATCH: Wizards' Otto Porter totally falls asleep on defense

The principles of man-to-man defense are very simple. As a defender you put yourself in position to see the ball and the person you're defending.

In the final moments of Tuesday night's game against the Chicago Bulls that simple rule was forgotten by Washington Wizards forward Otto Porter.

Porter got caught watching the ball and allowed Tony Snell to get open. Though Snell missed the open shot, Porter didn't realize he was guarding thin air for nearly three seconds.
