(via Twitter JManziel2)No one is ever going to accuse Johnny Manziel of being boring. Not only is he an amazing football player in the fall, he seems to turn up at the coolest places in the offseason.

Manziel isn't just the the reigning Heisman Trophy winner with a hot girlfriend an amazing future and apparently pretty well-off parents who love him dearly, the guy can play golf.

Manziel posted a photo of himself on Twitter with his parents after making a birdie on the 18th hole at Pebble Beach to shoot 79 over the weekend. The only thing better than being able to afford a $495 round of golf at Pebble Beach is playing well after doling out the cash.

Perhaps Daryl Jacobson confused the old baseball saying "three strikes and you're out" with a less cliche motto: "three drinks and you're passed out."

The 49-year-old umpire -- the only known public photo before his booking mug shot is below, from his high school yearbook -- allegedly passed out drunk on the infield and assaulted the responding medical personnel during the first inning of a game between Toloun (Ill.) Stark County High and visiting Monmouth (Ill.) United High.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience I gave everyone on Friday," Jacobson said at a hearing that set his bail for $5,000, according to the Star Courier, his hometown newspaper in Kewanee, Ill. "That definitely was not normal of me."

Let's hope not. Jacobson now faces two felony charges of aggravated battery and a pair of misdemeanor counts of resisting a peace officer, according to WQAD 8 (h/t Deadspin).

As pointed out by the Illinois High School Association's Matt Troha, who reached out to Prep Rally via email, Jacobson was not an accredited IHSA umpire but a last-minute local fill in when one of the scheduled umpires could not make the game.

Jacobson refused treatment from emergency medical technicians and attempted to wrestle away from handcuffs until Stark County Sherrif's Department deputies used a Taser twice to bring him in, the reports said.

Stark County Superintendent Jerry Klooster confirmed to WQAD 8 that the arrest occurred on the field during the game, telling the news station, "at no time was the safety of the players or coaches in jeopardy."

Notre Dame defensive tackle Louis Nix III has never been one to shy away from the spotlight, so when Michigan coach Brady Hoke accused the Irish of “chickening out” of their series with the Wolverines, Nix had to chime in.

Not gonna lie, #MeatChicken might be my favorite new hashtag. What is exactly is that? Isn’t all chicken meat? From now on, I’m just gonna drop the hashtag #MeatChicken into random tweets and stories.

But I digress.

Notre Dame canceled games against Michigan from 2015-17. Both schools mutually canceled games in 2018 and 2019.

While Hoke is taking the snub personally, Notre Dame has had to cancel a couple series in order to comply with its new agreement with the ACC, which requires the Irish to play five games against ACC opponents.

No one wants to see this rivalry, which is one of the best in college football, go away, but it seems like that’s becoming the norm in college football. At least we have the next couple years to enjoy what’s left of Michigan-Notre Dame.

Oh, and Nix has one final message for Hoke:

(Getty Images)Bryce Harper, less than 12 hours after crashing face-first into the Dodger Stadium wall, took to Twitter on Tuesday to tell the world how tough he is.

Harper, who left the field bloody and dazed, required stitches but didn't have a concussion after not heeding the warning track's warning. (Video here if you missed it). The 20-year-old Washington Nationals phenom also sounds like he doesn't have any regrets.

The rivalry between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce was once again accompanied by some loathsome behavior from the fans. After the 2-1 Fenerbahce win, one of their supporters was stabbed to death, allegedly by Galatasaray fans.  During the match, a Fener fan reportedly waved a banana at Galatasaray's Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Eboue.

Drogba later responded to the apparent racial taunt on Galatasaray's Facebook page, noting that both of Fenerbahce's goal were scored by Cameroon striker Pierro Webo. Said Drogba:

''You call me monkey but you cried when Chelsea beat Fenerbahçe in 2008, you called me monkey but you jumped in front of your screen when I won the Champions League, you called me monkey but you got mad when I became Champion with Galatasaray and the saddest thing is you called me monkey and forgot that you jumped my ''monkey'' brother scored twice yesterday… And you call yourself a true fan?? Check all the Galatasaray fans comments and learn from them…''

Earlier this offseason, Eagles running back LeSean McCoy challenged quarterback Michael Vick to a foot race. McCoy turned the air green with trash talk, calling Vick "old man" at every turn. But the old man still had some hops; according to Philly safety Colt Anderson, Vick dusted Shady by as much as five yards over a 40-yard distance.

Now, with OTAs under way, both sides are talking to the media ... and McCoy is hinting that the "feud" (spoiler: probably not a feud) isn't really over.

"The jubilation I felt that day was unbelievable," Vick told Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole, "not only to myself but for the morale of this team. Nothing against LeSean, but he asked for it." Vick conceded that he didn't know he had that speed still in himself. He credited the Eagles' strength and conditioning coaches for getting him ready, and the Eagles players for getting him pumped.

Getty ImagesNew Dallas Stars general manager Jim Nill is going to start from scratch after taking the reigns from Joe Nieuwendyk last month. After using the past two weeks to begin his preparations for changing the fortunes of the franchise, his first big move is a new voice behind the bench.

On Tuesday, the Stars announced that head coach Glen Gultzan and assistant coach Paul Jerrard have been relieved of their duties.

From the Stars:

"I would like to thank Glen Gulutzan and Paul Jerrard for the work they provided to the Dallas organization over the past four seasons," said Nill. "They are both quality coaches and men, but we have decided to go in a different direction with our coaching staff and we wish them well in their next endeavors."

Curt Fraser, one of Gulutzan's other assistants, and Mike Valley, the team's goaltending coach will be retained.

In two seasons as head coach, Gulutzan posted a 64-57-9 record, with no playoff appearances. The Stars made a last gasp at a playoff run after dealing away Jaromir Jagr, Derek Roy and captain Brenden Morrow, but it was too little, too late.

As for who Nill might turn to to replace Gulutzan, what does Alain Vigneault's future hold? Will the Phoenix Coyotes re-sign Dave Tippett, whose contract expires at the end of June? Are Lindy Ruff or Guy Boucher interested?

Or could it be Fraser? He and Nill know one another from their days with the Detroit Red Wings. Nill will have plenty of options to turn to as he begins forming what he hopes is the return of winning days in Dallas.
