Over the past ten years, there have been five Olympics, hundreds of medals awarded and an unlimited amount of good stories. As a part of Yahoo! Sports look back at the last ten years in sports, here are the ten best stories of the Olympic world.
10. Paul Hamm wins medal despite controversy: At the 2004 Olympics, Paul Hamm won the men's all-around in gymnastics, making him one of the few American men to hold that title. Or did he? After the event ended, South Korean Yang Tae Young discovered that he was given an incorrect start value in the parallel bars. With the correct start value, Young would have won the gold instead of the bronze. Appeals went all the way to the Court of Arbitration on Sport, but in the end, Hamm was allowed to keep his gold medal.
