    • UFC on Fuel 2 will be aired live and during the day

People with Fuel can watch Gustafsson Saturday afternoon. (Getty)Saturday's UFC on Fuel 2 fights featuring Alexander Gustafsson vs. Thiago Silva as the main event will air live from Sweden. It's a welcome change from Spike's policy to show European fights on a tape delay, and it does mean UFC fans will have to experience the joy of daytime sports-watching.

People lucky enough to have Fuel TV can tune into the main card at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT. For those of us who cannot get their hands on Fuel (Say, because we live in apartment building that does not allow satellite dishes and Fuel is not available on Comcast, the building's cable provider,) I will host a chat here on Cagewriter. Using Twitter feeds and play-by-plays from people onsite in Sweden, we will cobble together what's happening in the Octagon. It will be just like how your grandpappy followed baseball.

    • Jon Jones spent Easter dodging ‘bullets’ (VIDEO)

With UFC 145 and his title bout with Rashad Evans drawing near, UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones spent Easter Sunday training in an unconventional way. With the help of his brother, Baltimore Ravens defensive end Arthur Jones, Jones dodged "bullets" to get in some off day training.

OK, so they were Nerf bullets, but still. Soft foam can be tough to dodge.

    • James Head balancing fighting and engineering heading into UFC on Fuel 2

James Head (Getty)In an average day, UFC welterweight James Head will walk his dogs, work for hours for a major gas and oil company, get in a strength and conditioning workout, go back to the desk job, train for several hours, and then cheer on his St. Louis Cardinals before doing it all over again the next day.

Just reading through that schedule is exhausting, but Head, who is facing Papy Abedi at UFC on Fuel 2 Saturday in Sweden, told Cagewriter it's perfect because he never gets bored.

"It's mentally challenging and I like that. That's why I fight, because it's a mental and physical challenge. It keeps me sharp. I'm always learning things about my industry and fighting. That's how I was brought up. If I get bored with something, it's not really worth my time. I haven't gotten bored with any of the aspects of my life."

The industry is petroleum engineering, where it is Head's job to design and implement oil wells that will produce oil and natural gas. He started fighting when he was studying engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla (now called the Missouri University of Science and Technology.) When boredom hit, he tried fighting.

    • Weekend warriors: Ben Askren keeps title and Michael Chiesa moves on

Chiesa secures choke on TUF (Getty)Your Monday morning rundown of the weekend's MMA action:

Perhaps it wasn't the most exciting championship defense in MMA history, but Ben Askren got the job done on Friday as he defended the Bellator welterweight belt against Douglas Lima with a decision. Askren's wrestling once again took center stage as he took down and controlled Lima in round after round. Though Lima tried to sweep Askren and use submissions to create offense, Askren had no problem fending off every sub attempt.

After the fight, Askren had a message for the fans who booed his ground-heavy style.

"I was told you Canadians like fighting," he said. "If you don't like the ground work, there's a sport they call boxing. It's not as fun, though. I suggest you keep coming here and watching my [expletive] whippings."

In other Bellator action, Marlon Sandro moved to the final of the featherweight tournament with a close decision over Alexandre "Popo" Bezerra. Popo never found a rhythm as Sandro landed more punches when they did engage each other.

In the opening round of the bantamweight tournament, Travis Marx moved on with an upset decision over Makatsu Ueda. Hiroshi Nakamura also moved on in a decision win, holding off Rodigo Lima's leglock attempts throughout the bout.

      Chiesa takes decision

On "The Ultimate Fighter," Michael Chiesa moved to the next round with a two-round decision over Jeremy Larsen. Chiesa used his significant reach advantage to move inside and score takedowns. In the final minute of the second round, Chiesa came close to getting a choke. That submission attempt was likely enough to give Chiesa the win.

Next week's bout will feature Joe Proctor from Team Faber against Team Cruz's Chris Tickle who battled health problems over the course of the week.

    • Boat Race disruption raises concerns about Olympic security

Swimmer nearly gets hit by oar as he protests at the Boat Race (Getty)

The Boat Race, a 158-year-old race between rowing teams from Cambridge and Oxford universities, was disrupted when a protesting swimmer jumped into the water. He swam in front of the boats and was nearly hit by the Oxford oars The protester was said to have written online about his plan to get in the water in an essay called, "Elitism leads to tyranny."

With the Olympics just 110 days away, the disruption leads to questions about London's ability to provide security during the Games. Olympic rowing events will happen on a closed course in a different river, but protesters will still try to leave their mark.

In August, riots swept through London. Protesters admitted they were targeting Olympic sites. London police were alerted to the rioters plans as they were discussed online, just like the man who disrupted the Boat Race. These events don't inspire much confidence in London's security. If it's this easy for one man to mess up one event, what will protesters do come July?

    • Warren Sapp files for bankruptcy

(Getty Images)Seven-time Pro Bowler and NFL Network analyst Warren Sapp filed for bankruptcy in south Florida. According to the AP, he owes more than $6.7 million to creditors and in back child support and alimony.

His average monthly income tops $115,000. Among his assets? A lot of shoes and a lion skin rug.

Sapp's $6.45 million in assets includes 240 pairs of Jordan athletic shoes worth almost $6,500, a $2,250 watch and a lion skin rug worth $1,200. He also reported losing his 2002 Super Bowl ring with the Bucs and his 1991 national championship ring from the University of Miami.

The outspoken style has continued through his retirement in his job as an NFL Network analyst. He most recently found himself in hot water after he called Jeremy Shockey a "snitch" in connection with the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal.

According to the bankruptcy filing, his NFL Network contract is up in August.

Neither one can actually fight. Whoever runs outta gas first loses! -- Leslie Stapleton

See Bob Sapp either A) tap out due to strikes before 1 min. or B) have him claim injury after 1 min ....ALL DAY! :P -- Sohrob Kohistani

Most readers thought that Rashad Evans handled the fan asking for an autograph of his KOed picture well.

Rashad handled it alright, I mean he could have just told him to go away but in the moment that is just disrespectful. I've gotten a bunch and everyone is cool but nicest guys had to be Bisping and Pulver. They're just great to their fans. -- Gabriel Martinez

    • Georges St-Pierre to try his hand at poker

GSP's poker face? (Getty)As Georges St-Pierre continues to rehabilitate his torn ACL, he needs somewhere to put his competitive energy. The man didn't get to the top of the welterweight division and near the top of the Yahoo! Sports pound-for-pound rankings without a good amount of competitiveness, so now he'll use it at the poker table.

He signed a sponsorship deal with 888, an online gaming company. Through that sponsorship, he'll play in the 2012 World Series of Poker. He will also play in online special games that will benefit his anti-bullying charity.

"I have wanted to play poker for a while now as it is a great game of skill. It is not just your cards versus my cards; it is you versus your opponent. However, the most important aspect of my partnership with 888poker is that we are going to generate a great deal of money for my foundation that dedicates its efforts towards anti-bullying causes.

GSP has shown an incredibly icy stare when squaring off when his opponents. He may need to employ that at the poker table. For tips, he can turn to fellow fighter Mike Swick, who finished 10th of more than 2,000 in a WSOP event  in 2010. UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer is also a poker aficionado. He has his own poker room at the Luxor in Las Vegas.
