By Graham Watson | Dr. Saturday – Sat, Oct 27, 2012 4:20 PM EDTMack Brown still has a job at Texas — for now.
While many thought Brown was safe this year, no one could have predicted the near catastrophe that could have called all bets off regarding Brown's future with the Longhorns.
And Brown has backup quarterback Case McCoy for preserving his job status.
McCoy orchestrated a come-from-behind win that was capped by a 1-yard touchdown pass with 12 seconds remaining to give the Longhorns the win.

By Graham Watson | Dr. Saturday – Sat, Oct 27, 2012 2:50 PM EDTMissouri is new to the SEC, so excuse the Tigers' sports information department for maybe not knowing the names of all the conference coaches.
(@ashleycolley)That has to be the reason why the Kentucky roster Missouri handed out to media for Saturday's game listed the coach as "Joke" Phillips instead of "Joker" Phillips.Of course, Mizzou could have just been taking a cue from Kentucky fans and talk radio and what they probably call Phillips while they've endured such a disastrous Wildcats season.

By Graham Watson | Dr. Saturday – Thu, Oct 25, 2012 12:12 PM EDTMike Leach has now joined the club of coaches banning their players from Twitter.
Leach instituted the ban after two student reporters for the Murrow News Service asked the athletic department for comment regarding a couple Twitter messages that appeared on players' pages.
According to athletic director Bill Moos, the tweets in question had nothing to do with the program, but they were vulgar in nature.
"They aren't bashing coaches or the program or any of that, but it's not what we want to be perceived as how our program is represented," Moos told Christian Caple of The Spokesman-Review.
Moos added that many player tweets "would not be approved by the Parent Teacher Association."

By Graham Watson | Dr. Saturday – Thu, Oct 25, 2012 12:07 AM EDTGoodbye Geno; Hello Collin.
Kansas State's gritty quarterback, Collin Klein, has become a Heisman darling and with his tremendous performance against Geno Smith's Mountaineers, Klein has asserted himself as the man to beat for the bronze statue.
It's funny. Just a few weeks ago, Smith was unbeatable. His numbers were ridiculous and no one thought anyone would be able to touch him. But after two poor games, he's been supplanted and with less than half the season remaining, it's anyone's game.
Here's a look at Dr. Saturday's Week 8 Heisman Watch:
