(USA Today Sports Images)It's not so great to be a Tennessee Vol, at least not lately if you're a football fan. The program is struggling, and if the fans weren't feeling bad enough, 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis added another punch to the gut during a pre-Super Bowl interview.

Willis is the best inside linebacker in the NFL, and has been for a few years. He went to Ole Miss and played on some bad teams, but was the 11th overall pick of the draft in 2007 and has dominated in the pros ever since.

And he only ended up at Ole Miss because he practically begged Tennessee to take him, but the Vols didn't want him.

The NFL has no current players and startlingly few ex-players who are known to be gay, but it appears ex-49ers and Raiders offensive tackle Kwame Harris, a former first-round pick, has involuntarily been added to the list as a result of the legal fallout from a fight at a restaurant.

According to the San Mateo Daily Journal, a dispute over soy sauce at Su Hong restaurant in Menlo Park, Calif. last Aug. 21, has landed the former NFL player in court after he assaulted his ex-boyfriend.

Chief deputy district attorney Karen Guidotti told the paper that Harris and the alleged victim had been in a romantic relationship but were not involved at the time of the incident. Harris’ attorney Alin Cintean confirmed to the paper the two "were previously involved" but were just friends when the incident occurred.

Harris pleaded not guilty to felony charges of domestic violence causing great bodily injury and assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, the Daily Journal said. The dispute started when Harris got upset at his friend, Dimitri Geier, for pouring soy sauce on a plate of rice.

Roger Goodell met the public on Monday afternoon, with a mix of news from Goodell, rage from fans and general weirdness. One of the top ranked comments was from "New_Orleans_Saints" simply linking to a gif that showed Danny DeVito flipping off the camera.

That kind of stuff doesn't happen during a press conference.

Goodell did a AMA ("Ask Me Anything") on Reddit. That's becoming a popular forum, with even President Barack Obama doing one last year.

Goodell is polarizing, to say the least, so many people flocked to leave questions or comments or generally troll the commissioner. Goodell was on Reddit for about an hour, the number of users on the AMA swelled past 12,000 and more than 3,300 comments were left when he was online. Goodell was criticized by some for not giving specific answers to some questions, but did provide some news when he shared his feelings on topics like the Pro Bowl after Sunday's game and the league possibly moving to London at some point.

(TMZ.com)While the Ravens and 49ers are getting ready for a Super Bowl, Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was on the set of "Celebrity Diving" saving comedian Louie Anderson from drowning.

Apparently, these are the types of stories happen when a NFL player goes on "Celebrity Diving." Let's just be thankful it wasn't Katherine Webb who Suh saved out of the pool, or the Internet may have exploded.

The story, which of course came from TMZ, says the comedian and former "Family Feud" host was ready to sink to the bottom of the pool from exhaustion when Suh came to the rescue.

Let's get something out of the way before we go into the dueling video game simulations of Super Bowl XLVII: Tecmo Super Bowl is the greatest football video game ever and no game will ever displace it.

The 1991 game for Nintendo was the first to have all the teams and save stats through an entire season, and turned Bo Jackson into a virtual legend. I've bought every Madden since about the 1993 version for Sega Genesis, and while that franchise is great, it can't beat the mindblowing-ness of Tecmo Super Bowl in all its 8-bit graphic glory back in the day. Anyone older than 30 who likes video games should be nodding about now.

So when a Tecmo Super Bowl simulation of the Ravens-49ers Super Bowl showed up on YouTube and had a different prediction than the Madden simulation, you know which one I'm siding with.

In a blog entry on WBEZ.org, Chicago radio reporter Cheryl Raye-Stout shared a story from many years ago about the time Bears quarterback Jim Harbaugh fought for her to get equal access to the Bears locker room during the week, something she hadn't been granted during a time when many women were battling for that right.

Houston's 295-pound defensive end J.J. Watt lined up at receiver in the first quarter of the Pro Bowl, and ran a decent route against Bears cornerback Charles Tillman on a ball that went through his hands. When Watt lined up again at receiver in the fourth quarter, the NFC countered with Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul at cornerback against him.

Indianapolis quarterback Andrew Luck threw to Watt, and Pierre-Paul was right there in coverage and picked off the pass in the end zone.

To recap, a defensive end lined up at cornerback against a defensive end lining up at receiver and he picked off one of the best young quarterbacks in the game.

Wow. Awesome.

(NBC)The NFC loaned center Jeff Saturday to the AFC for a play in one of the coolest moments you'll see in a Pro Bowl.

Saturday played his first 13 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, hiking the ball to Peyton Manning time after time, including in the Colts' Super Bowl XLI victory over the Bears. After so many games and memories together, Manning and Saturday spent this season apart, when Manning went to the Denver Broncos and Saturday went to the Green Bay Packers. Saturday announced this week that he was retiring after the Pro Bowl.

So in the first quarter, we witnessed something you're unlikely to see again - a player lining up with the other team for one play.
