    • Fake Project Runway: WTA finalists dress up in Istanbul

wta champs dresses 11 stosur kvitova wozniacki sharapova li na zvonareva radwanska

The season finale of "Project Runway" and the annual WTA Championships "prom photo" all in the same week? It's a grand confluence of fashion! Join us as our fake Project Runway judges critique the outfits worn by the seven WTA finalists. (Victoria Azarenka was not included.) We'll begin on the left and move right across the picture.

      Sam Stosur

Michael Kors says: "The pattern of three circles on the dress look like you just came from the Magic Kingdom. And the tassels? Oh honey, even Gaddafi knew to limit those to one or two."

      Petra Kvitova

Nina Garcia says: "This works for me. Dressing tall and athletic women is a real challenge and, I have to say, you succeeded. She looks comfortable. I don't even mind the Bedazzling so much because the tailoring and silhouette are so fashion forward.

      Caroline Wozniacki

Michael Kors says: "Hubba hubba. This could have gone 'Purple Rain' bad but instead it's a vision. Watch out Rory McIlroy, this one could even turn me.

    • Busted Racquet previews the 2011 WTA Championships

azarenka wta champs interviewThe 2011 WTA Championships begin Tuesday in Istanbul. Busted Racquet ranks the chances for each of the eight women in the field, from least likely to win, to most likely.

      8. Li Na (No. 5 seed) -- Just 5-7 since winning the French Open, Li Na could have used some good luck in her round robin placement. Instead, she's on the same side as tournament heavies Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azarenka and Sam Stosur. A winless trip to Istanbul could be in the cards.

      7. Vera Zvonareva (No. 6 seed) -- The Russian is always good and rarely great and her 2011 has been no exception. With the exception of Li Na, it wouldn't be a surprise to see any of the seven women advance to the finals in Istanbul. Given Zvonareva's inconsistent play of late and her three consecutive straight-set losses to Agnieszka Radwanska, who's in her round robin, Vera could be one of the ones departing Istanbul early.

      6. Agnieszka Radwanska (No. 8 seed) -- Radwanska played her way into the championships with two straight

    • The New Orleans Saints scored a lot of points, set a lot of records

With his fourth-quarter interception return for a touchdown, Leigh Torrance gave the New Orleans Saints 62 points, a total that hasn't been exceeded by any NFL team in the past 55 seasons, and is the most in the regular season in 26 years.

Among the records the Saints tied or broke, and other accomplishments Sunday night:

      • Most points in a regular-season game since 1985 (New York Jets, 62)

      • Tied, most regular-season points since 1970 AFL/NFL merger

      • Tied, most points in NFL since 2000 (Jacksonville Jaguars, 62, 2000 divisional playoff)

      • Most points so far this season (previous: 49, Green Bay Packers, Week 4)

      • Most points in a game in Saints history (previous: 51, three times)

      • Biggest margin of victory in Saints history (previous: 42, over Denver in 1988)

      • Only eight teams have scored more points in a single NFL game and none since 1966.

      • Of the 22, 60-point games in NFL history, only four have taken place in the last 30 years.

      • It was just the second time since 1989 that an

    • Shirtless British man welcomes Bears and Bucs to London

      bears pitch invader wide

For their trip to London, the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers were treated to the finest of British traditions, from cricket to high teas to shirtless fools running around Wembley Stadium to the delight of the assembled crowd.

While the Bears prepared to return a Bucs kickoff, the man ran on the field and sprinted toward the end zone, arms aloft like an airplane and stopping for the occasional high five with a player. Security personnel at Wembley were as ineffective in stopping the man as the Bucs defense was in stopping Matt Forte; he evaded tackles for a solid 30 seconds before he was surrounded by men in suits, who tackled him. (First problem with security: They are men in suits. This only works if you're a Secret Service agent.)

"That was exciting,'' said D.J. Moore, who made the game-saving interception late in the fourth quarter. "The guys facing him we're kind of slow — most times you see it on TV and the guys are real good at tackling, and these guys, they were bad."

    • Video: Cam Newton evades seven tacklers on 25-yard scramble

Cam Newton has "it," and by "it" I mean the ability to make seven Washington Redskins defenders flail around helplessly as he scrambles for a ridiculous first down on a third-and-long from deep within his own territory.

There are so many good things you can say about Cam Newton. Aside from the fact that's he a natural quarterback, he has command of the huddle, knows how to scramble, can avoid big hits (MICHAEL VICK) and possesses an on-field awareness that few rookies ever show. He's already tied a rookie record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback and has kept an otherwise-awful Panthers team in every game this season.

But though we highlight this run, its success was more about the awfulness of the Redskins defense than the brilliance of Cam Newton. DeAngelo Hall whiffs so bad he looked like Alex Rodriguez in October. If it's possible, I think Kevin Barnes missed two tackles on the play.

    • After disastrous start, Tebow leads Broncos to overtime victory

tebow presswireFor 55 minutes of Sunday's game, Tim Tebow was more dud than savior. His Denver Broncos were down 15-0 to the winless Miami Dolphins and the quarterback's uneven play was a big reason why. And then he turned water into wine.

Facing a 15-point deficit on the road with the ball on his own 20-yard line, Tebow orchestrated a stunning fourth-quarter comeback, capped by a two-point conversion run with 0:25 on the clock that tied the game and forced overtime. In the extra session, Tebow and the Broncos were aided by a Dolphins fumble that set up a game-winning 52-yard field goal by Matt Prater.

For most of the game, it appeared Tebow's first start of 2011 would give his detractors ammunition for a week of anti-Tim rhetoric. He looked lost at times, turning his back to his receivers and fluttering passes all over the field. His legs saved him from trouble on a few occasions, but not enough to make up for erratic throws and panicked play. His team was equally inadequate, getting down 15-0 to

    • Photo: Cooley channels his inner-Wooderson with new look

All right, all right, all right.

Chris Cooley may not be seeing action for the Washington Redskins on Sunday, but he'll be seeing plenty of action from the ladies with his new 'stache n' chops stylings.

      cooley mustache

The pen tucked up beneath the hat is a good touch. My car has been rattling a bit when I'm on the highway; I wonder if Cooley can take care of that for me. It'd be a lot cooler if he could.

    • Jason Campbell found out about Palmer trade via television

      jason campbell hue

Because nobody from the Oakland Raiders bothered to tell him about it, Jason Campbell found out the team traded for Carson Palmer while watching television.

The Raiders starter, who broke his collarbone during Oakland's Week 6 victory, learned of the blockbuster trade on Tuesday while recovering from surgery. He didn't speak with Raiders coach Hue Jackson until Friday.

Campbell told 95.7 FM in Oakland of finding out about his replacement:

"I was halfway still on pain medicine. It was kind of a moment of silence. My fiancée looked at me to see if I was gonna say something. There's different things that go through your mind but you don't want to fill your mind with those thoughts."

"I started receiving these text messages and everything about, you know, 'Hey what's going on?' and 'There's been a trade' and everything, and 'They've just given up a first round.'" [...]

"As a player in this league, you can't worry about the things that go on from a business side of it, the political side

    • Polamalu fined $10,000 for calling wife on sideline during game

troy polamalu lookingAll Troy Polamalu wanted to do was let his wife know he was OK.

The Pittsburgh Steelers star left Sunday's game with concussion-like symptoms after he made a crucial tackle of Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew. Given his prior history with the brain injuries, there was added reason for concern. After Polamalu was assessed by doctors on the sideline, Polamalu borrowed one of their cell phones to call his wife and let her know he was doing fine.

That call ended up costing him $10,000.

The NFL fined Polamalu on Friday for having a cell phone on the field during the game. It's against NFL rules to have cell phones or electronic equipment near bench areas from 90 minutes before kickoff through the end of the game. Polamalu clearly was in violation with his mid-game phone call.

Why can't common sense prevail, though? As Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said earlier this week, "He wasn't checking his bank account." He wasn't pumping in Kanye on his iPod or plugging Head &

    • Game Point: Have Sampras and Agassi moved past their conflict?

      agassi sampras

Game Point is Busted Racquet's roundup of links, stats and facts from around the web.

Love -- Are Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi friends again? Playing together on the Champions Tour and bonding over their children has apparently helped warm the relationship between the two, which soured after Agassi's book took cheap shots at Sampras and because of the bizarre on-court spat during an exhibition last year. "I don't want a five-minute skirmish at Indian Wells to throw away 15 to 20 years of friendship," Samprastold the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "In my eyes, I've moved on."

15 -- A loss by Marion Bartoli in Moscow clinched Agnieszka Radwanksa's berth into next week's WTA Championships and rounded out the eight-woman field. Radwanska will join Caroline Wozniacki, Maria Sharapova, Petra Kvitova, Victoria Azarenka, Li Na, Vera Zvonareva and Sam Stosur in Istanbul.

30 -- Dutch player Bibi Schoofs upset Rebecca Marino in Luxemborg on Thursday. Ordinarily, a win by the No. 199 player in the
