Please invest your Jason Hammel winnings responsibly, guys. Also, remember to check the pregame weather forecasts and scan today's MLB lineups as they're released. Let's do the do...

Freddie Freeman, 1B, at Ari (Collmenter), $3200 at FanDuel: Freddie was a relatively easy call on Monday (3-for-5, HR), and he's back at the same price, facing an even sketchier right-handed starter. You probably won't be surprised to learn that Freeman is 8-for-15 in his career against Collmenter with two doubles, one bomb and three RBIs. Also, he's homered in three of his last four games, so you're catching him during a power surge.

  • Joey Gallo gets the call in Texas

Andy Behrens at Roto Arcade 20 hrs ago

We can say two things with absolute certainty about Texas third base prospect Joey Gallo. First of all, he strikes out at an insane rate — 179 Ks last season, 172 in 2013. So far this year, the 21-year-old has whiffed 49 times in 146 plate appearances for Double-A Frisco. Not great.

But let's get to the second thing you need to understand: Gallo's power is obscene. Almost unrivaled. We're talking serious, monstrous country power.

Like, this sort of thing happens in BP...

That InTouch sign? Gallo just hit it. pic.twitter.com/MS4bcCiZVR

    Crazy power.

Gallo has hit nine bombs so far this year while slashing .314/.425/.636. He cleared the fence 42 times across two minor league levels last year, and 40 times the prior season.

On Monday, we learned that Gallo will join the big league club for Tuesday's game with the White Sox, skipping Triple-A entirely. The Rangers have an immediate need, because Adrian Beltre is headed to the DL with a dislocated left thumb. Rough news for Beltre, but still exciting times for Texas fans.

  • Daily Dime: Jacob deGrom and a collection of Dodgers

Andy Behrens at Roto Arcade 1 day ago

Monday's pool offers plenty of well priced players, despite the light slate. Boston and Minnesota are postponed due to ugly weather, so avoid that mess. Please, as always, remember to check the pregame forecasts and scan MLB lineups as they're released. Let's get to it...

[Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football is back: Sign up for a league today!]

Andre Ethier, OF, at Col (Kendrick), $2600 at FanDuel: This one almost feels too obvious. Ethier is dirt-cheap, hitting at Coors Field and facing a sketchy right-hander. Kendrick has allowed four or more earned runs in seven of his ten starts this season. For what it's worth, Ethier has homered twice in his career off Kendrick.

Freddie Freeman, 1B, at Ari (Bradley), $3200: Freeman has homered twice over the past three days, he's hitting in a friendly road park and facing a righty who's allowed 14 earned runs over his last 10.2 innings. At this price, Freeman is a gift.

  • Daily Dime: Chris Davis, Denard Span, and a dirt-cheap Friday starter

Andy Behrens at Roto Arcade 4 days ago

We have potential weather issues in the Midwest today, gamers, so please remember to check the pregame forecasts. And as always, scan the MLB lineups as they're released. Let's get into it...

[Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football is back: Sign up for a league today!]

Chris Davis, 1B, vs. TB (Karns), $3300 at FanDuel: Davis is binging, you guys, so I'm on board. He's 4-for-10 over his last three games with a double, three homers and six RBIs. On Friday, the O's face a right-hander who hasn't given Davis much trouble in limited looks (2-for-5, HR, BB).

Lance McCullers, P, vs. CWS (Rodon), $5400: Oh, man, this pitching matchup. Good times. McCullers is available at a ridiculously friendly price considering his performance thus far — 10.2 IP, 3 R, 11 Ks — and the fact that his team is a heavy favorite (-150). The early numbers from McCullers aren't a total surprise, just so you know. This is a former first-rounder with a career minor league K/9 of 10.7.

  • Closing Time: Red Sox prospect Eduardo Rodriguez gets the call

Andy Behrens at Roto Arcade 5 days ago

Boston's starting rotation has been mostly dreadful this season, delivering a combined ERA north of 5.00. When you consider the rogue's gallery of pitchers who've made starts for the Red Sox this year — Miley, Porcello, Masterson, Buchholz, Kelly and Wright — it's actually kind of remarkable that the team is only five games under .500.

[Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football is back: Sign up for a league today!]

Rodriguez mixes mid-90s heat with a quality slider and change. Here's a highlight reel, if you're prospecting.

For now, the plan is for Rodriguez to return to Pawtucket following Thursday's outing. Boston is simply looking for a spot-start, since the team is in the middle of a stretch of 20 games without an off-day. But if he dazzles in his big league debut, there's always a chance he'll stick around...

  • Daily Dime: Zack Greinke and a house of Cards

Andy Behrens at Roto Arcade 6 days ago

Picked the wrong day to fade Prince Fielder, I guess. Even my Donaldson-led lineups fell before him. Let's try to get it back today, together. As always, please remember to check the pregame weather reports and scan the MLB lineups as they're released. Now let's get to it...

[Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football is back: Sign up for a league today!]

Kolten Wong, 2B, vs. Ari (Collmenter), $3300 at FanDuel: Yup, going back to Wong again. He's slashing .331/.393/.500 against RHPs, and Wednesday's right-hander isn't exactly the best in the business.

Jhonny Peralta, SS, vs. Ari (Collmenter), $3300: Peralta is working on a mini-streak of three straight two-hit games, and he homered on Monday. He's slashing .308/.370/.506 for the year, hitting in the heart of the order. I'm going to the three-Cardinals formation on Wednesday, rolling with Wong, Holliday and Peralta ... because Collmenter.

  • Daily Dime: Wong, Duda, deGrom and seven other can't-miss, sure-fire daily bargains

Andy Behrens at Roto Arcade 7 days ago

OK, perhaps "can't-miss" is a bit strong. But it's snappier than "less-likely-to-miss-than-many-others." As always, please remember to check the pregame weather reports and scan MLB lineups as they're released. Now let's do this thing...

[Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football is back: Sign up for a league today!]

Jacob deGrom, P, vs. Phi (Williams), $9700 at FanDuel: I am not gonna get out-deGrom'd today, you guys. Oh, no. Jacob is a bit cheaper than Tuesday's blue-chip starters (Kershaw, Price, Bumgarner), plus he's facing doomed team and he's coming off a brilliant performance (8.0 IP, 1 H, 11 Ks). Earlier this year, deGrom fired 6.1 scoreless innings at the Phils.

Lucas Duda, 1B, vs. Phi (Williams), $3500: OK, after this we're done with Mets, I promise. Without looking it up, I'm gonna guess that Duda is hitting .750 in his career vs. Jerome Williams with maybe 17 home runs.

    *looks it up*

  • Daily Dime: Moreland, Abreu and other Friday buys

Andy Behrens at Roto Arcade 11 days ago

Don't you just hate when you're pretty sure you're about to become a thousandaire, but then the Tigers' bullpen blows David Price's win? Me too. But we'll get it back today. Check the weather here, you guys, and scan lineups over here. Let's do the do...

[Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football is back: Sign up for a league today!]

Mitch Moreland, OF, at NYY (Pineda), $2300 at FanDuel: Moreland homered on Thursday, and he has eight hits in his last 20 at-bats with two doubles and two bombs. He's slashing .312/.382/.506 for the year. Moreland is just a single short of the cycle in his career against Pineda, for what it's worth, having gone 3-for-6 with nothin' but extra-base hits. At this price, I'm happily on board.

Brad Miller, SS, at Tor (Estrada), $2800: Yup, I'd be willing to double-down on M's. Miller has four multi-hit games over his last eight starts with three homers, and he's slashing .297/.363/.571 against RHPs this year.

  • Closing Time: Shawn Tolleson earns save, Tim Lincecum tosses seven scoreless

Andy Behrens at Roto Arcade 12 days ago

On Sunday, Texas manager Jeff Banister decreed that no player in his team's bullpen had a defined role going forward. Which of course was another way of saying that no player who'd previously had a defined role was any good at pitching. Neftali Feliz had blown a save chance on Saturday, allowing three runs in a horrid inning of work that featured a double, homer, walk and wild pitch.

[Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football is back: Sign up for a league today!]

On Wednesday, when another save opportunity presented itself, Shawn Tolleson got the nod for the Rangers. He wasn't flawless, but he managed to successfully protect a one-run lead while facing the top of the Red Sox batting order — not exactly a low-stress save situation. Mookie Betts doubled off Tolleson, Dustin Pedroia ripped a loud out (nice play by Delino DeShields), and David Ortiz drew an intentional pass, but no runs were scored.

  • Daily Dime: Ross, Papi, Span, Moose and more

Andy Behrens at Roto Arcade 13 days ago

There's only one early game on Wednesday, so we'll ignore it here. Good luck to anyone Kuecheling today. Before finalizing rosters, please remember check the weather and scan the lineups prior to game time. Let's begin the usual bargain hunt...

[Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football is back: Sign up for a league today!]

Tyson Ross, P, vs. CHC (Wada), $8900 at FanDuel: Ross enters this game with a 10.6 K/9, and the Cubs lead the majors in Ks (377). If Ross can just limit the walks (no sure thing), then he has a shot to post a significant point total here. The Pads are a healthy favorite here (-135).

David Ortiz, 1B, vs. Tex (Klein), $2200: In case you hadn't noticed, Papi has strung together three straight multi-hit efforts and he's homered in back-to-back games. He's facing an unthreatening right-hander on Wednesday, and the price is right.
