    Scouting Report on GJ Vilarino

    by Jerry Meyer - 04/10/2007
Very smooth with the basketball, Vilarino also has the basketball IQ to make the plays needed to run a team. He has a nice blend of scoring and passing to his game, but his shot does have room for improvement. Long for 6-foot, he has an intriguing upside to his game. As he gets stronger, he will improve as a half court defender.

Jerry Meyer serves as a national scout and recruiting analyst for Rivals.com. He played at Lipscomb University where be became college basketball's all-time career assist leader. Meyer earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Tennessee as a high school junior and senior. He has served as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt and also co-authored the book, "Basketball Skills and Drills."
