Aaron Donald hit with $23K in fines for multiple confrontations with Seahawks lineman
Aaron Donald tried to retaliate two times against Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman Justin Britt for a late hit on Sunday and that led to two fines from the NFL on Saturday.
The Los Angeles Rams All-Pro was fined more than $23,000 for his actions during the Seahawks game, according to ESPN’s Lindsey Thiry. That’s a total that even exceeded Britt’s bill for his late hit on Donald, which came in at a reported $20,054.
Breaking down Aaron Donald’s NFL fines
Donald first got into trouble with the NFL for his immediate response to Britt’s fourth-quarter hit, in which the defensive tackle got up, bolted for Britt and seemed to attempt to choke the offensive lineman. That triggered a larger skirmish between the two teams.
For that, Donald was fined $10,026, exactly half of Britt’s fine. It might have been more had it not been for some quick thinking, and running, from Rams coach Sean McVay.

More concern was reserved for Donald’s second no-no, which came minutes later as the game ended. As the Rams sealed a thrilling home win, Donald bizarrely removed his shoulder pads, put on his helmet and ran through the postgame proceedings to confront Britt and trigger another kerfuffle.

The bill for that action reportedly came in at a heftier $13,369.
Fortunately for Donald, these fines should be easily affordable given that he signed a $135 million before the season.
